Consent to Electronic Communications
You consent to receive disclosures from Interstate Auto Group, Inc. d/b/a CarHop (“CarHop”) and/or its affiliated sales finance company, Universal Acceptance Corporation (“UAC”) d/b/a (“CarHop Finance”), (which includes their related entities, agents, service providers and assigns, collectively “we” “us” or “our”) electronically through this web site or by email under the terms of this Consent to Electronic Communications. By consenting to the electronic delivery of disclosures, you agree that we may provide electronically any and all communications concerning our decisions on your application, the terms of any credit that may be provided to you, our privacy policy, the status and history of any extension of credit and any further disclosures required by federal or state law (the “Disclosures”).
The Disclosures may include disclosures pursuant to: (1) the federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B; (2) the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act; (3) the federal Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z; (4) the federal Electronic Funds Transfer Act and Regulation E; (5) the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act; (6) the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act; and (7) any other applicable federal, state or local law or regulation. Your consent applies not only to the application and any resulting extension of credit but also to any payment plan or other ancillary agreement related to your extension of credit and to any application for a future extension of credit from us or any future transactions or agreements between you and us.
To electronically receive and view and electronically save or print the Disclosures, you must have: (1) a personal computer with Internet access; (2) a widely-used, recent-generation web browser (for example, Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox); (3) a widely-used, recent-generation portable document file reader (for example, Adobe Reader); (4) an email address; and (5) either a printer, hard drive or other storage device. You understand that Disclosures may be sent to you by emails containing attachments in PDF format, sent to you by emails containing links to documents in PDF or HTML format on our web site, or made available to you in the “Your Account” section of our web site. We anticipate that any emails we send you may have file sizes up to 10 MB (but not larger). You should make sure that any email spam filter you use is set to allow receipt of messages from any email ending in @CarHop.com and @CarHop.net. If the information you have supplied us for contacting you electronically changes, please notify us of your new contact information by sending an email to [email protected]. You represent that you have the hardware, software, email address and email capacities described above.
In order to do business with us electronically, you must agree to the terms of this Consent to Electronic Communications. However, you may withdraw your consent at any time. If you do this, you will not be able to do business with us electronically on a going forward basis but this will not affect any Disclosures provided to you electronically prior to your withdraw. To do so, send an email stating that you withdraw your consent to receipt of electronic disclosures to [email protected] or call 800-414-2622. Include your name, address, and account number in any such request. You have the option to receive any information that we have provided electronically in paper form at no cost to you.
