In 2017 we donated over $40,000 to help people in our communities
We believe that by giving back to the areas we serve, we can make a difference. Our branches worked with local charities to identify people in need. Below are just a sample of the things we did to help make a difference.
CarHop Cares is our way of giving back to the communities that we serve
CarHop of Duluth
The Duluth, MN branch donated $1250 to CASDA, The Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse, located in Superior, WI. We were greeted with huge smiles and more "thanks yous" than we could count!
CarHop of Chippewa Falls
We delivered Holiday gifts to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Chippewa Valley. The gifts included art supplies, first aid items, storage containers, and a vacuum cleaner. We also presented them a check for $600.00.
CarHop of Greeley
We donated $1250 to the Weld Food Bank which served 58,000 families last year alone.
CarHop of Inver Grove Heights
Inver Grove Heights, MN helped brings smiles to more than 100 patients at Children's Hospital!
CarHop of Maplewood
Maplewood, MN donated enough money to Second Harvest Heartland to to provide 2,250 meals to hungry families in Minnesota.
CarHop of Auburn
The store in Auburn, Washington donated more than $1200 to the Kent Hope Center to provide women and children a clean and safe environment to enrich their lives.
CarHop of Joplin
We gave $625 each to two charities: Lafayette House helps battered women, and anyone dealing with domestic abuse. Souls Harbor is the only homeless shelter in this area that accepts families.
CarHop of Richfield
Richfield, MN adopted 10 people this Christmas through a non-profit called Face to Face, an organization dedicated to the needs of kids ages 11–24, offering health care, counseling, and programs for homeless.
CarHop of Everett & CarHop of Bellingham
The stores in Everett and Bellingham, WA teamed up to help the local homeless group that wouldn’t be able to get inside a shelter We put together 50 “CarHop Cares packages” with wool blankets, hygiene products, flashlights, hand warmers, gloves, hats, and food and distributed them to those in need.
