Service Shops

Need to get help with your car from a CarHop authorized service shop?

Here is a description of how the process works:

1. Find a CarHop authorized service shop near you below.
2. Contact the shop to see when they can give you an appointment to look at your vehicle.
3. Bring your vehicle to the shop.  If there is a diagnostic fee, CarHop will only pay that fee in the event it is a covered repair.  If the diagnostic performed identifies the issue as a non-covered item, you will be responsible for paying the shop for the diagnostic fee.
4. The service shop will send CarHop service an estimate for the work that the shop is recommending.
5. CarHop will let the shop know which repairs are and are not covered from the estimate.  The covered items can be started immediately.  CarHop does have parts delivered to shops for most repairs.
6. If there are non-covered items on the estimate, the shop will inform you of the prices to complete the work, and can let you know about the time frame and detailed costs.
7. Contact the service shop directly for questions about the timing of repair completion, or specific questions about the work completed.

Follow the two steps below to get on your way:

1. Review the Warranty coverage – here’s a great way to get an idea if a problem you’re having with your vehicle is covered.

• The CarHop 18 month / 18,000 mile limited warranty covers many of the biggest and most expensive repairs to vehicles.  It is not a bumper-to-bumper warranty.  Here are some examples of repairs that generally are and are not covered.  Some states have coverage beyond what is shown in the examples – please review the purchase contract you received when you purchased your vehicle from CarHop for specific questions.

 Covered:

• Internal Engine
• Internal Transmission
• Water Pump
• Fuel pump
• Axels
• U-joints

Not Covered (these are some common examples – see your warranty documents from the purchase contract for a full list of covered items):

• Suspension issues
• Exhaust or catalytic converters
• Interior functions  and creature comforts – window controls, power seats, radios, and
• Air Conditioning
• Tires
• Radiators
